7 WAYS TO PREPARE FOR BACK TO SCHOOL FOR BUSY MOMS

1. PAPER ORGANIZATION

Be committed this school year to deal and organize any paperwork that is coming inside your home and stop them taking over. Declutter paperwork once a week to make sure you stay on top and any important papers that you need to remember to pin it on a corkboard so it will be safe and clear for you to see and easy to remember.

Throw any paperwork that you no longer need and if any artwork you want to keep, put it in a keepsake for each of your kids file.

2. LABEL EVERYTHING

If you haven’t learned anything from last school year is that kids come home almost empty handed or sometimes literally empty-handed. They lose their stuff and it always the same story: ” I literally put it there but suddenly it was gone”.

Label your kids coat, clothes and their lunchboxes and BOTTLES.

3. HOMEWORK STATION

Make homework time for kids easy. Whether you have a desk with all their supplies stashed or a supplies caddy they can tote around everywhere. Whatever it is you decide, make it easy for the kids to do their homework in a place that has less distraction, has all their supplies together and a place they can be in the zone of doing their work.

4. ESTABLISHING MORNING + EVENING ROUTINE

The day really starts with an evening routine. Establishing your evening routine is powerful and smart.

To get ahead the next day, you want to start getting ready already in the evening. That means you want to start getting things done for tomorrow.

One of the things that helps is to get school bags, shoes, coat all that they need to bring ready by the door. This way you'll never spend precious times looking for them. You could also have the kitchen cleaned and lunches ready.

Just like establishing an evening routine, morning routines are powerful too. Creating a morning routine shouldn’t be that overcomplicated, but simple and effective.

5. MEAL PLANNING

Meal planning helps you not just knowing what or when you are eating, but also to keep an eye out how much you spend on groceries. With meal planning you are buying food based on the week or month.

6. STASH A SNACK STATION AFTER SCHOOL TIME

Kids get hungry like crazy after school, but can you blame them? 7-8 Hours away from home.

They need food. Which is why having a snack station or creating one is vital. Having a simple grab and go of your kids favorite snacks is perfect for them to fill up a bit before dinner.

7. SCHOOL OUTFIT

Whether you kid wears a school uniform or not, having their clothes nice and clean and ready for them every single morning is VITAL!
